The audio for the lesson is available at the bottom of the screen under the blue button.

In the course of the last few lessons we have learned how to form the Instrumental case with Russian nouns. Today we will have a look at the personal pronouns in the Instrumental case.

Here is how they change in the Instrumental:

я – мной (I)
ты – тобо́й (you singular and informal)
он – им / ним (he)
она – е́ю / ей / не́й* / не́ю* (she)
оно – им / ним* (it)
мы – на́ми (we)
вы – ва́ми (you plural and formal)
они – и́ми / ни́ми* (they)

* use these pronouns with prepositions

Examples:

Ты пойдёшь со мной?
Will you go with me?

Я пе́ред тобо́й ни в чём не винова́та.
I’m not guilty of anything toward you.

Мы им горди́мся.
We are proud of him.

Наде́юсь, с ней ничего́ не случило́сь.
I hope nothing happened to her.

Он у́чится вме́сте с на́ми.
He studies with us.

С ва́ми всё в поря́дке?
Is everything ok with you?

У меня́ с ни́ми хоро́шие отноше́ния.
I have good relations with them.
