Lesson 055

The Prepositional case with plural nouns

In the previous lesson we learned how to form the Prepositional case with singular nouns. Today, let’s have a look at plural nouns.

Follow these two simple rules to form the Prepositional with plural nouns:

For nouns ending in …
а/о -> replace with ах
… any consonant -> add ах
… other cases -> replace the last letter with ях

дом – о дома́х (house)
нож – о ножа́х (knife)
край – о края́х (edge)
конь – о коня́х (horse)
луна́ – о лу́нах (moon)
гра́ница – о грани́цах (border)
рука́ – о рука́х (hand)
неде́ля – о неде́лях (week)
ста́нция – о ста́нциях
(station)
ли́цо – о ли́цах (face)
