034 – The Genitive case with neuter singular nouns

In the previous lessons we’ve covered the forming of the Genitive case with masculine and feminine singular nouns. Today we’ll cover the neuter singular nouns.

For neuter nouns ending in …

о -> replace with а
е -> replace with я, but
це, же, ше, ще -> replace е with а

есть лицо́ – нет лица́ (face)

есть окно́ – нет окна́ (window)

есть де́рево – нет де́рева (tree)

есть зда́ние – нет зда́ния (building)

есть со́лнце – нет со́лнца (sun)

есть жили́ще – нет жили́ща (dwelling)

есть варе́нье – нет варе́нья (jam)

    I am learning really well on this website, really cool!
    Please record the audio for lesson 034 as it is not working. It says it’s an error.
    Also a spelling mistake on 030 it should be written ‘identify’
