Declension of Russian adjectives ending in -гий, -кий, -хий, -гой, -кой, -хой

Today we continue learning to decline Russian adjective. Do you remember the spelling rules we learned some time ago? The adjectives we are going to learn today are in the separate group, because we have to follow those spelling rules when decline them.
Here are some examples of these adjectives:
ру́сский – Russian
де́тский – children’s
мужско́й – man’s
сухо́й – dry
Let’s learn the pattern of this type of declension, which is mostly the same as the declension of soft-ending (for -гий, -кий, -хий) and hard-ending (for -гой, -кой, -хой) adjectives except the fact that we have to replace Ы with И after the letters Г, К and Х.

“Хой” does not mean anything. If it was “Хай!” that would be just a Russian version of “Hi!”
